MEPs to debate priorities ahead of EU summit
MEPs will give their input to the informal EU summit on EU counter-terrorism measures, the economic and monetary union and the developments in Ukraine in a debate with Latvian Secretary of State for European Affairs Zanda Kalniņa–Lukaševica, and Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker at 9h. A resolution on counter-terrorism measures will be voted at noon.

Country-of-origin labelling of meat in processed foods
A resolution urging the Commission to table legislation which would make country-of-origin labelling mandatory for meat used as an ingredient in processed foods, similar to rules for fresh beef, will be put to a vote at noon.

Monitoring democracy and fundamental rights in the EU
Ideas for an 'EU framework for democracy, rule of law and fundamental rights', to assess whether member states live up to their obligations, will be debated with Commission Vice President Frans Timmermans and the Latvian Secretary of State for European Affairs Zanda Kalniņa–Lukaševica in the evening.
