Country-specific recommendations: Debate with key commissioners
Members of the Economic and Monetary Affairs and Employment and Social Affairs committees will debate country-specific recommendations for 2015 with Commission Vice-President Dombrovskis (pictured) and Commissioners Thyssen and Moscovici, starting at 15h on Tuesday (23 June).
European Semester economic policy co-ordination recommendations provide tailored advice to member states on how to boost jobs and growth, while maintaining sound public finances. Calls to pay more attention to national specificities and possible spillover effects on other countries, and also to involve national parliaments when deciding on structural reforms, are likely to be among the issues raised by MEPs during the debate.
