2013 Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought
Malala Yousafzai (pictured), the 16-year-old Pakistani campaigner for the right to education for girls and winner of the 2013 Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought, will receive her prize from Parliament President Martin Schulz at a ceremony in Strasbourg, at noon on Wednesday, 20 November.
Parliament also celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Sakharov Prize with a series of debates and events to which former laureates are invited to be held on its Strasbourg premises from 17 to 21 November.
