Explore Eurostat’s new brochure on farms in the EU

Did you know that there are 9.1 million farms in the EU? Or that 64% of these farms are small (under 5 hectares)? Were you aware that only 6% of farm managers are younger than 35?
You can find these and many other facts from the agricultural census 2020 in Eurostat’s new publication A look at European farms – agricultural census results. The census is carried out every 10 years in the 27 EU countries and some EFTA countries.
The brochure is a useful source for anyone looking for essential data on European farms and people working on them.
