Nominate your favourite European web entrepreneur for a Europioneers Award
Who will become this year’s most successful European Web Entrepreneur?
Applications are open until 31 August for the Europioneers 2014 Web Entrepreneur of the Year awards. Nominate here to follow in the footsteps of last year’s winners, the hot tech up-and-comers Alexander Ljung & Eric Wahlforss (Soundcloud) and Jon Reynolds (Swiftkey).
Europioneers exists to celebrate the successes of web entrepreneurs in the EU and to provide a platform for them to connect with each other and with investors.
The competition has four award categories.

European Web Entrepreneur of the Year Award
Eligible for web entrepreneurs creating new digital services and products that use the web and mobile as an indispensable component.

Young European Web Entrepreneur of the Year – Youth Award
Eligible for web entrepreneurs below the age of 30.

High Growth Web Entrepreneur of the Year – Gazelle Award
Eligible for web entrepreneurs in a high growth company, meaning and average yearly growth of 20% over a 3 year period.

Female Web Entrepreneur of the Year
(At least 50% of the company founders must be women.)

Can I nominate myself?
Yes, the applicants can nominate themselves as well as anybody can nominate others.
Details on the selection process:

26 September: Announcement of short list (top 5 per category) at Unconvention – Brussels

26 September-24 October: Public voting for shortlisted candidates

November 4th: Award Ceremony at The Summit – Dublin
How are winners selected:

A combination of public vote and jury input. 2014 Jury members include renowned web influencers such as Mike Butcher (Techcrunch) and Matthias Ummenhofer (European Investment Funds).
About Europioneers
Europioneers is organized by the European Commission in partnership with Deloitte, European Young Innovators Forum and HUB Institute. The objective of the competition is to identify and recognize successful European web initiatives, to promote the role web entrepreneurs play in European society, and to encourage and inspire potential entrepreneurs. In 2013 over 1,200 nominations were received, voted on by more than 5,000 members of start-up communities.
