Extraordinary Conference of Presidents convenes to discuss Greece
On 29 June, an extraordinary meeting of the Conference of Presidents took place to discuss the latest developments concerning Greece with Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker. The Conference of Presidents then discussed the situation further and adopted a position on the immediate next steps that should be taken.
It called for all parties to the talks on Greece to return to the negotiating table before the end of Tuesday (30 June) to discuss how to avoid negative developments for Greece and possible ways of prolonging the programme as an interim measure, to allow the referendum process to be completed.
