Five more bodies were discovered by rescuers following a fire at a Russian defence research institute. This brings the total to 11, Tass news agency reported.

Tass stated that the search for casualties continues. The institute is located in Tver, approximately 160 km (100 mi) northwest of Moscow.

After media reports that the fire was caused by an electrical fault, authorities opened a criminal investigation.
