Ebola crisis to be debated in European Parliament Development Committee
The Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa, the current situation in the affected states and the EU’s response to the crisis will be debated on Tuesday morning (23 September) in Parliament's Development Committee. The debate starts at 10h30.
The experts taking part in the debate are: H.E. Ibrahim Sorie, Ambassador of Sierra Leone to the EU, Christopher Stokes, Executive Director of Medécins Sans Frontières, Leon Prop, Director of the EU Office of the Red Cross, Dr Richard Brennan, Director of Emergency Risk Management and Humanitarian Response at the WHO in Geneva, Sarah Gonzales, USAID Representative in the Mission of the United States of America to the EU and representatives from the Commission and the EEAS.
