#Health: Personalised medicine-backers honoured in MEP awards
Brussels-based multi-stakeholder organization the European Alliance for Personalised Medicine (EAPM) was delighted to note that four MEPs with who it has worked closely in recent years were recognised at a recent awards ceremony, writes EAPM Executive Director Denis Horgan.
Four MEPs with a strong impact on personalised medicine were recognized in this year’s Parliament Magazine awards.
- Miriam Dalli, who will speak at the EAPM Conference in a session entitled 'The promotion of cross-disciplinary interaction - getting personal’.
- Cristian Busoi won an award for his work on health care and will also be at EAPM’s conference. He will speak at the conference dinner in the European Parliament.
- Jan Philip Albrecht, who was the lead rapporteur for the European Parliament on the revision of the data protection regulation, won an outstanding achievement award.
- Emma McClarkin, who won an award for work to promote sports and physical fitness.
Other MEPs who will speak at the conference include Peter Liese, Lambert Van Nistelrooij, Andrey Kovatchev, Marju Lauristin, Philippe De Backer, and Elisabeta Gardini.
