The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of sole control over M7 Real Estate Ltd. (‘M7') by Oxford Properties Management (UK) Limited (‘Oxford Properties'), both of the UK. M7 is an investment asset manager focussing on the real estate sector. Oxford Properties is part of the Oxford Properties Group of Canada, which is active in the ownership, development and managing of real estate assets. The Oxford Properties Group is the real estate arm of OMERS Administration Corporation of Canada, the administrator of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System Primary Pension Plan and trustee of the pension funds.

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, because of the limited impact it would have on the market. The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. More information is available on the Commission's competition website, in the public case register under the case number M.10307.
