Commissioner Reynders at Justice and Home Affairs Council today
Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders (pictured) will attend a meeting of justice and home affairs ministers in Brussels today (4 March). Commissioner Reynders will participate in a lunch-debate with Justice Ministers on the current situation in Ukraine and the measures already taken by the Commission against Russian aggression. Earlier today, he will present the latest developments on two proposals: the regulation on European production and preservation orders for electronic evidence in criminal matters and the directive on the appointment of legal representatives in criminal proceedings. In the afternoon, the Director of the Fundamental Rights Agency, Michael O'Flaherty, will take part in the exchange of views on fundamental rights, and the Council will aim to adopt the conclusions on the fight against racism and anti-Semitism. Finally, Commissioner Reynders and ministers will discuss the Council's decision on hate speech and hate crime.
