7th Luxembourg-Taiwan Joint Business Council held in Luxembourg
The 7th Luxembourg-Taiwan Joint Business Council was held in Luxembourg from 11 to 12 September. ROC International Economic Cooperation Association and TECO Group President Theodore M.H. Huang headed a delegation of 26 Taiwan business people.
During the Business Council, they discussed co-operation in finance, tourism, information technology, green energy and other industries. Kuo-yu Tung, said that the Business Council is an important dialogue platform between Luxembourg and Taiwan industries, especially since the Luxembourg Parliament recently approved a Taiwan-Luxembourg double taxation agreement.
This will lead to great benefits in mutual investment and co-operation, for industry on both sides. In addition to B2B talks between 30 manufacturers from both sides, the delegation also attended the official ceremony commemorating the 25th anniversary of the first China Airlines’ flight to Luxembourg. GreTai Securities Market signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Luxembourg Stock Exchange that is expected to contribute to furthering the international integration of Taiwan’s bond market, reducing the cost for Taiwanese enterprises to issue bonds in Europe in euro or RMB.
