Taiwan participation in European Job Days a success
On 2 October, Actiris, Le Forem and VDAB, three Belgian public employment services, organized an international recruitment day dedicated to jobseekers between the age of 18 and 30. The Taipei Representative Office in the EU and Belgium took part in that activity to promote the Working Holiday Programme and the different academic scholarships available in Taiwan.
The Taiwan booth attracted a lot of interested visitors, some of which had already been to Asia and were looking for an opportunity to go back. Others knew very little about Taiwan, but were curious and wanted to learn more. The Working Holiday Program proved to be very popular among young jobseekers. A lot of graduates were also looking for opportunities to do an MBA or PhD in Taiwan, or they wanted to take on the challenge of studying Chinese, and get information about Taiwan Scholarships and Huayu Enrichment Scholarships.
