#Kazakhstan: Poland and Kazakhstan sign agreement on economic co-operation
Poland and Kazakhstan signed a ‘Memorandum of Co-operation’ on Polish-Kazakh economic co-operation in Warsaw today (23 August) during a state visit Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev (pictured).
The memorandum includes 15 signed bilateral agreements. President Nazarbayev stressed the importance of Polish experience in the development of the SME sector. The co-operation will look at ways to improve urban areas and local transport.
The state visit was also an opportunity to discuss Poland’s participation and economic programme for the World Exhibition EXPO 2017, to be held in the Kazakh capital, Astana.
Polish-Kazakh Economic Forum was organized jointly by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, Ministry of Development, Polish Agency for Information and Foreign Investment (PAIiIZ), the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Poland and Kaznex Invest, with the support of Polish-Kazakh Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
