“China in Springtime: China’s Development, Opportunities for the World” Dialogue Held in Düsseldorf
On March 17, the Germany session of the global dialogue “China in Springtime: China’s Development, Opportunities for the World” was held in Düsseldorf. The event was jointly organized by China Media Group (CMG) and the Consulate General of China in Düsseldorf, bringing together around 100 representatives from political, business, academic and media circles in Germany.
Yu Yong, Consul General of China in Düsseldorf, noted that China’s upcoming development blueprint outlines a clear vision for the country’s economic and social progress over the next five years, highlighting both the resilience of the Chinese economy and new opportunities for global cooperation. He emphasized that China will continue to expand high-level opening-up, foster innovation-driven growth, and promote green and sustainable development. These efforts, he said, will create broader prospects for cooperation with Germany, particularly in areas such as advanced manufacturing, technological innovation, energy transition and market expansion.
During the thematic dialogue session, participants from Germany’s “hidden champion” enterprises and research institutions exchanged views on China’s economic prospects and bilateral cooperation. They highlighted the strong complementarity between Germany’s industrial strengths and China’s innovation-driven development, expressing confidence in future collaboration in high-end manufacturing, green transformation and technological advancement.
The event also featured a screening of CMG’s industrial culture program showcasing China’s progress in intelligent manufacturing and robotics, offering participants a closer look at the country’s latest technological achievements.
The dialogue provided an important platform for deepening mutual understanding and exploring new opportunities for practical cooperation between China and Germany.
