TRO thanks EU for statements of concern and support
The Taipei Representative Office in the EU and Belgium (TRO) thanked the European External Action Service Secretary General Stefano Sannino, 7 December, for his joint statement with US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R. Sherman expressing concern over peace and security in the Taiwan Strait. The joint statement was followed by another, 8 December, issued by High Representative Josep Borrell and Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis, stressing the EU’s solidarity with Lithuania, and showing its support for continued cooperation and exchanges with Taiwan. Likewise, the TRO welcomed the comments and pledged to continue deepening cooperation and exchanges with the EU in a variety of areas.
