European Elections 2014: EU heads of state and government cast their votes

Turnout in Germany is considerably up: by 14.00 CET 25.6% of eligible voters had cast their vote, compared to 20.2% at the same time in 2009. Germany was also the country where most European Commission presidential debates were held.
Former Belgian King and Queen Albert II and Paola have voted for the first time in 20 years. The couple voted in Laaken, Brussels.

Estimated turnout in Romania is up, reported at 18.41% at 15.00 CET, up from 14.95% in 2009, according to the central electoral bureau in Romania.
