AccessibleEU surpassed all its objectives last year, as reported in the 2024 Final Report
This report provides a comprehensive overview of the actions undertaken during AccessibleEU’s second year contract, highlighting main achievements, the completion of major milestones, and the valuable lessons learned for the coming years.
AccessibleEU surpassed all its yearly objectives in 2024, as evidenced in the newly published AccessibleEU Final Report 2024 Executive Summary. The initiative saw a significant progress in bringing together policy makers, experts and persons with disabilities, as well as in providing guidance for the implementation of accessibility standards via training, awareness-raising, and technical publications.
One of the key achievements in 2024 was the refinement and implementation of the set of indicators monitoring accessibility initiatives across all member states. A large amount of information was collected to monitor commitments and efforts made by each Member States to implement accessibility legislation and standards, which can be consulted on the website: AccessibleEU - Accessibility Monitoring
In its second year, AccessibleEU successfully hosted 88 events, including two online courses, grew the Community of Practice to over 3,400 members, established a Moodle forum, and kept building its digital library with 163 new Good Practices and 136 new references on accessibility.
All this data and more can be consulted now in the AccessibleEU Final Report 2024 Executive Summary.
