Save the date: Webinar on HICP
Do you want to stay up to date with the latest news in the harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP)? Whether you work with inflation or are looking to better understand it, join our webinar on HICP next Monday, 9 March, from 14:30 to 15:15 CET.
From January 2026, several methodological changes were introduced in the HICP, the EU’s official inflation. The HICP is now compiled according to a new classification of goods and services purchased by households, its reference period was updated to 2025, Bulgaria has joined the euro area, and games of chance are now included in the index.
In this webinar, we’ll guide you through these changes, explain the implications for data users, and you can ask questions to Eurostat’s experts.
The webinar will be streamed on a dedicated event page on the Eurostat website, the Eurostat Facebook and LinkedIn accounts. It is open to anyone interested and there is no need to register. You will be able to ask questions via Slido.
