European Commodity Clearing (ECC) is to launch clearing services in the power intraday continuous and day ahead markets in Slovenia in April 2024. Subject to regulatory approval, the extension of clearing services will be implemented in co-operation with the local exchange, BSP Energy Exchange LLC (BSP).

With the additional new services, ECC will now offer power spot clearing services in 16 European countries.

CSEE power markets are an important region for the wider EEX Group both for long- and short-term power trading, having offered power derivatives and spot products, as well as related clearing services since 2017. To date, ECC overall connects 29 clearing members.
