Chemical-hazardCefic has published new analysis that profiles the chemical industry in each European member state as well as overall for Europe.

The analysis shows a snapshot of the perceived strengths and weaknesses of each national chemical industry base. It shows for example that the highly skilled labour force and emphasis on high-tech value added products help European companies to stand out on the world market. The interactive website guides you through the industries of industries in Europe. It gives insight into key performance indicators per participating member state such as turnover, employment and an individual overview per country delivered by the Chair of each national chemical federation.

The EU chemical industry is one of the largest European industry sectors, employing over 1.2 million directly in largely high-skilled jobs. Chemical companies provide key raw materials to other sectors such as automotive and construction and wide-ranging modern products used in products from wind and solar power technology to high performing textiles and smart electronics, as well as life-saving pharmaceuticals and beyond, across the globe. The chemical industry has solved some of the most challenging problems governments, citizens and society have posed. Without its inventions and products, our current living standards would simply not be possible.
