cover-convention-webThe European Commission is organizing its 2014 Innovation Convention on March 10 and 11, 2014 in Brussels. The programme aligns a distinguished panel with representation from Europe, the USA, South Africa, South America, Japan and India. EUREKA and TAFTIE will co-host a fringe session 'SMEs in the European Innovation Area: How can we help them grow?' aimed at politicians, programme administrators and networkers working with and on behalf of SMEs on 10 March at 16h30.

The joint EUREKA Taftie fringe session will tackle the European research and innovation paradox: 90% of European investment in research and innovation is national. Most knowledge is generated outside our own countries. As a result, international co-operation on research and innovation gives access to more knowledge and is generally more profitable than innovation activities in a closed national environment.

More than 2,000 people are expected to attend the convention - registrations for the EUREKA-TAFTIE fringe session are now open.
