Facebook: Join chat with Mikael Gustafsson on preventing violence against women
Violence touches the lives of many women in Europe. What more could be done to prevent it? Parliament’s Facebook fans have a chance to discuss the topic with Mikael Gustafsson, a Swedish member of the GUE/NGL group who is the chair of the women's rights committee. The chat will take place on Wednesday 5 March from 13h30 CET ahead of this year’s International Women’s Day.
International Women's Day is held every year on 8 March. This year the theme is preventing violence against women, which can stop them from fully participating in society. In February the Parliament approved a report on how to prevent gender-based violence. Join the chat on Wednesday 5 March from 13h30 CET by clicking here. You will have 45 minutes to ask questions.
