20140304PHT37505_originalViolence touches the lives of many women in Europe. What more could be done to prevent it? Parliament’s Facebook fans have a chance to discuss the topic with Mikael Gustafsson, a Swedish member of the GUE/NGL group who is the chair of the women's rights committee. The chat will take place on Wednesday 5 March from 13h30 CET ahead of this year’s International Women’s Day.

International Women's Day is held every year on 8 March. This year the theme is preventing violence against women, which can stop them from fully participating in society. In February the Parliament approved a report on how to prevent gender-based violence. Join the chat on Wednesday 5 March from 13h30 CET by clicking here. You will have 45 minutes to ask questions.
