justice_day_poster_newsroomThe European Day of Justice will be celebrated on 25 October 2014. The initiative aims to bring justice closer to all European citizens, by informing them on their rights and of the available tools in place for facilitating access to cross-border justice, as well as raise awareness of EU law among legal professionals through communication and other related activities across the member states.

Participation in the European Day of Justice is on a voluntary basis but judicial institutions and bodies of the member states are invited to actively participate in the celebration of this day, by organizing events for a wide public (in particular youth) and judicial professionals, around the date of 25 October.

Organisers should inform the EC Representation in their country (complete list Choose translations of the previous link), where possible, the Representation could help in giving visibility to the event or being directly involved.

Information and support is available to potential organisers of local events from a page dedicated to the European Day of Justice Choose translations of the previous link and from which multipliers can download visuals, customisable banners and find useful publications which can be ordered to help spread the message.
