MEPs at a so-called open Conference of Presidents meeting will debate the results of the 23-24 October EU Summit on climate and energy policies, the economic and employment situation and external relations. Climate Change/IPCC

Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), will present the findings of the IPCC 5th assessment report to the European Parliament science and technology panel STOA. The meeting, also attended by Commissioner Carlos Moedas, will start at 17:00. Before the presentation, European Parliament Vice President Mairead McGuiness will hold a joint press conference with Mr Pachauri at 16h in the Paul-Henri Spaak building, Anna Politkovskaya room (0A050).

MEPs to debate Colombia’s peace process with President Santos

Foreign Affairs Committee MEPs and Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos Calderón will debate its peace process with the FARC. The EU visa waiver for Colombian citizens is also likely to be raised.
