Follow-up Special Committee on Tax Rulings
SHARE:

The Conference of Presidents of political group leaders decided unanimously today (2 December) to create a special committee as a successor to the special committee on tax rulings (TAXE), which saw its final report adopted last week. The draft mandate for the new Special Committee, that will be put to a Plenary vote this evening, says that it will run for six months, starting on 2 December, with 45 members, building on the work done by its predecessor.
The structure of the Special Committee will be the same as that of its predecessor. Among other tasks the Special Committee will look into the work of the Commission in the areas of state aid and taxation, examine member states' compliance with tax legislation, as well as look into companies' aggressive tax planning.
