#EuropeanParliament this week: Youth employment, Hungary, disabilities
MEPs will this week deal with issues such as youth employment, tighter cash controls, people living with a disability and the situation in Hungary.
On Monday (4 December) the economic and civil liberties committees vote on proposals to tighten controls on cash entering or leaving the EU to fight money-laundering and terrorism financing.
On the same day the employment committee votes on a report assessing the implementation of the Youth Employment Initiative aimed at helping to tackle youth unemployment.
Development committee members discuss on Monday the humanitarian situation in Libya after reports showing African migrants being sold into slavery sparked an international outcry.
On Thursday (7 December) the civil liberties committee holds a public hearing on the situation in Hungary before assessing whether the country is at risk of a serious breach of EU values. Speakers include representatives from the Hungarian government, civil society and experts.
More than 500 delegates from European organizations representing people with disabilities gather in the European Parliament in Brussels for the 4th European Parliament of Persons with Disabilities on Wednesday (6 December) to discuss participation in political and public life.
