Mergers: Commission clears acquisition of sole control over #Solidus by #Centerbridge
The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of sole control of Solidus Solutions (“Solidus”) of the Netherlands by Centerbridge Partners, L.P. of the US. Solidus manufactures packaging solutions. Centerbridge is a private investment management firm with offices in New York and London. The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, because there is no overlap between the companies' activities. The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. More information is available on the Commission's website, in the public case register under the case number M.9468.
