#Armenia - EU puts  democratic reforms at the hear of its discussions with Armenia

In a phone call between the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan took place today (3 February).

The president of the European Council and the prime minister of Armenia discussed the EU-Armenia relations. Both parties pledged to further develop EU-Armenia bilateral cooperation, including commercial ties.

Armenia's democratic reforms agenda was at the heart of the discussion. The president of the European Council stressed the importance the EU attaches to Armenia's reforms path.

During the phone conversation, the two leaders also discussed their expectations for the Eastern Partnership Summit, which is to take place in June in Brussels.
