The 3 Ways To Build Your Brand On A Tight Budget
Every company needs a brand identity these days no matter how small or big it is. This is because people like to support businesses they know and feel comfortable with. With so much competition these days, you need to have a brand that stands out and is instantly recognizable. The problem is that hiring an agency to do the marketing for you can be quite expensive.
If you want to save money, luckily you can do a lot of the work yourself. With some initiative and patience, you can create a brand that will resonate with your core audience. In this article, we will go over how you can take the project into your own hands and build your unique brand.
1 - Use free resources
You’ll have to have a lot of graphics for things like a logo and your images for the website and social media. There are a lot of photo editors that you can use to do things like convert images with a PNG maker, or create banner images for a website header.
Many of them are free and still give you a lot of tools to be able to create something interesting and engaging. It takes a bit of a learning curve for some of the more complicated ones, but once you get the hang of it you can create a lot of different items.
For instance, you can make up some business cards or even direct mail flyers online and then send them off to be printed and save loads of money that way. You can slo create some beautiful images for your social media profiles or website that will feature your unique brand’s color scheme.
2 - Use social media
Social media is also free and a great way to get the word out there about your business. You can connect directly with your market and learn what they respond to that way. This allows you to create the type of content they are looking to consume and share so you can create good brand awareness.
Make sure the content is helpful and engaging. It should be something that people feel is worth the time it takes to look at it and hopefully like and comment on. This also means that the type of content and messaging should be consistent through every post and on every platform. Content will then become recognizable as being from your brand.
3 - Have a story to tell
Every company essentially has a story to tell and it should be put out there to give your brand an identity. It could be the origin of the company from generations ago, or it could be the values that your company has as the reason you started the business yourself.
This story is what will help people connect with you and want to become loyal fans and not just customers. It will be what you base your content around on social media and other outlets.
