Three NFL games confirmed for London in 2025

The NFL have confirmed that there will be three NFL regular season matches in London in 2025 as part of the International Series. The Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Jets will be the designated home teams as part of those games.
Despite the NFL continuing to grow around the world, London, a city that has been hosting regular season games since 2007, has retained three matches. Two are set to be hosted at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and one will be held at Wembley Stadium.
Visiting Teams to Announced in April
NFL teams will be hoping to see one of the leading franchises in the league when the visiting teams are announced in April during the 2025/26 fixtures reveal. The Detroit Lions are the 3/1 favourites in the Super Bowl odds this season. They have been the leading offensive team in the league in the 2024/25 campaign. The last time the NFC North side came to London was in 2015.
In the bet on American football odds, the Kansas City Chiefs are the 11/8 favourites to win the AFC Conference this season and book their spot in the Super Bowl. The Chiefs are on course to secure their place as one of the great dynasties in US sports. They have played just once so far in London, prevailing against the Lions 10 years ago.
Other popular franchises in Europe include the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins. Due to the success of those teams, particularly in the 80s and 90s, they have developed a strong supporter base across the continent.
Madrid and Dublin Set to Join London
London is not the only major European city set to host an NFL regular season game in 2025. Madrid has also been handed a game at the Bernabeu, the home to football giants Real Madrid.
It will be the first time an NFL game will be played in Spain. They will become the third nation in Europe to host the NFL after the UK and Germany. Like the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, the Bernabeu has a retractable pitch which means the turf, used for football, can be replaced with an NFL-calibre field.
Although Madrid will receive just one game initially, the city is confident it can prove to the NFL that it is worthy of matching London’s tally going forward. The game in 2025 is likely to be sold out and it should prove to be a commercial success for all parties involved.
Ireland has also been tipped to be added to the NFL International Series in the near future. Dublin’s Aviva Stadium has the capacity to host a game. The Pittsburgh Steelers have a close relationship with the city and would be the most likely home team, should a deal be reached.
The Aviva Stadium has hosted American football before, as a college game took place there between Georgia Tech and Florida State in 2024. The home of Gaelic games is a multi-purpose stadium which has held international football and rugby.
The opening game of the NFL International Series will come in early October when the Cleveland Browns welcome an opponent at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
