Vaccines, online child abuse, EU summit
This week, MEPs will hear about the progress on authorizing COVID-19 vaccines and vote on measures tackling the spread of child pornography online.
Vaccines
The civil liberties committee voted on Monday (7 December) to amend e-privacy rules so that providers of digital communication services can continue to monitor content and traffic data on a voluntary basis for materials showing the sexual abuse of children.
Artificial intelligence
The legal affairs committee voted on Monday on a report that looks into the military use of artificial intelligence, the application of the technology in health and justice as well as its impact on democracy and rule of law.
EU summit
Parliament President David Sassoli will address EU leaders at the start of their summit on Thursday. Topics on the summit's agenda include COVID-19 measures, climate change, security and external relations.
