A concert by the State Philharmonic of the Kyzylorda Region took place in Luxembourg as part of the cultural initiative Shanyraq Fest Luxembourg.

The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Belgium and Luxembourg with the support of the Akimat of the Kyzylorda Region and ERG.

The evening brought together representatives of Luxembourg’s public institutions, members of the diplomatic corps, business and cultural communities, as well as Kazakh compatriots and students residing in Luxembourg.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Roman Vassilenko addressed the audience with welcoming remarks.

In his speech, the Kazakh diplomat noted that culture and music remain a universal language of mutual understanding and an important element of international dialogue. He stressed that such events help nations gain a deeper appreciation of one another through art, history, and traditions.

The concert showcased the rich diversity of Kazakh musical and folk heritage. Performances were given by the Aqmeshit folklore ensemble, the Ai Aru dance ensemble, soloists of the Kyzylorda Regional Philharmonic, performers of traditional music, and zhyrau singers.

The audience responded especially warmly to compositions inspired by the heritage of the Great Steppe, as well as to elements of kui tartys and the art of zhyrau, reflecting the depth and distinctiveness of Kazakh culture.
