Executive Vice-President Fitto participates in the Cities Forum 2025 in Kraków
Today (18 June), Executive Vice President Raffaele Fitto (pictured) will participate in the Cities Forum 2025, in Kraków, Poland. This event, co-organized by the European Commission together with the European Urban Initiative, is the flagship platform to discuss the urban dimension of EU Cohesion policy.
This year's Forum, held in a hybrid format for the first time, brings together over 800 participants, including more than 50 mayors and deputy mayors, 111 speakers, and high-level representatives from all levels of government. Under the theme ‘Empowering cities, shaping Europe's future', the Forum will address key urban challenges such as housing, digitalisation, competitiveness, social inclusion, climate adaptation and urban mobility.
Executive Vice President Fitto will deliver a keynote speech on the second day of the Forum during the Stakeholder's Dialogue Session. The Forum allows to collect insights that will help shape the EU Agenda for Cities, later this year.
It offers a vital opportunity for dialogue among EU institutions, Member States, cities, and stakeholders, reaffirming the role of cities as engines of growth, innovation, and sustainability across Europe. Those interested can register and attend the event online.
