Bangladesh election: PM Sheikh Hasina wins fourth term

Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has secured her fourth straight term in the national election.
Ms Hasina will serve another five years in office after her party the Awami League won 223 of 300 parliamentary seats contested.
The results:
Awami League: 223
Independents: 61
Jatiya Party: 11
Others: 3
Results from 298 of 299 seats (in 1 seat ejection was not held due to the death of a candidate).
Total seats: 300
"I am trying my best to ensure that democracy should continue in this country," she told reporters as she cast her vote.
