Thirty international universities and leadership organisations have confirmed participation at 'Masterclass with NASA on the future of man, economy and the world' One of the topics will be the crisis of the young generation and their fading hopes for the future. Other topics will include the pandemic and the latest crises in Afghanistan and Haiti. On October 21st, 2021, the virtual studio “Masterclass with NASA” will be launched online. Confirmed participants of the international debate include Prof. Jeffrey Sachs – economist, Artur Chmielewski – engineer from NASA, Guy Consolmagno – director of Vatican Observatory, Prof. Michał Heller – cosmologist, and leaders from more than 100 countries.

Poles from the CTN Foundation are the organizers of the event. “We win and lose together. Our main responsibility is to build a vision of tomorrow. NASA’s plans for manned missions to the Moon in 2033 and to Mars in 2043 are important, but what is even more important is our desire to start anew,” say the organisers.

The clash of various visions of man, economy and the world will be the subject of the 'Masterclass' with the participation of leaders from the Global Leadership Network –an organisation that brings together 250,000 leaders from over100 countries around the world. Other participating organisations include the Columbia University,University Sao Paolo, AIESEC International, CEMS (35 academic centres), World Youth Alliance, Tel Aviv University. The organizers point out that the vision of tomorrow is not born from appeals and calls, but from dialogue and building relationships, mutual listening, and being open to other people.

“This is the purpose of the ‘Masterclass with NASA.’We talk aboutwhat is good for young people; about how can we create an economy that will serve them,” said Kate Raworth, the author of the book Doughnut economics, named the book of the year on economics by the Financial Times.

“In the changes that are happening before our eyes, we can see the tendency to reevaluate business goals.More and more leaders want to build the long-term value with their organization, not just focus on the short-term profit. This is, in my opinion, the path we should follow," said Jacek Kędzior, region managing partner of EY CESA (Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia), and managing partner of EY Polska.

'Let Us Dream' summarizes the meeting's maxim concerning the future of man, economy and the world. It is expressed in the ability to act to improve the situation of oneself, one’s loved ones, and the whole community.

“Great changes are currently taking place in the world of economics. There are nearly 290 occupations that will soon require additional skills or that already do. Unemployment stems from the difficulty of adapting to new jobs, not only those in the digitalspace, but also in traditional occupations. Our meeting aims to show opportunities where we have only seenproblemsso far. The digital revolution means big changes, that also happen through trainings and meetings like this one. It teaches us the flexibility we require to start again,” said David Gregoszof the KonradAdenauer Foundation.

“The greatest threat we face is not robots replacing us, but our unwillingness to reinvent ourselves,” said Mike Walsh, an expert on artificial intelligence. "We live in an age of miracles: autonomous cars, devices that anticipate our needs, and robots capable of everything from advanced manufacturing to complex medical surgeries. Automation, algorithms, and artificial intelligence will change every aspect of our daily lives. But are we aware of what this means for the future of labour, leadership, and human creativity?" 21 October, starting at 16h, GMT+2.
