Missile fragments found in Moldova near Ukraine border - local media
On Monday (5 December), Moldovan police found fragments from a missile that fell in a region of northern Moldova close to the border with Ukraine, Prima Sursa, a state information portal, quoted the police as saying.
The incident was not reported by the authorities of Moldova immediately after Russia launched a new wave of missile attacks against Ukraine.
Oleg Nikolenko from the Ukrainian foreign ministry, in response to media reports on the incident, reiterated his call for Kyiv's missile defense systems to be purchased by its allies.
He said: "Russian missile terror poses a significant threat not only for the security and safety of Ukraine but also for the security and security of neighboring countries."
Russia didn't immediately respond to the reports.
After the Ukrainian air defenses intercepted a Russian ballistic missile in an earlier wave of attacks on 31 October, Moldova's interior ministry stated that missile debris also fell in northern Moldovan villages.
