MEPs to quiz Commission on progress in freeing digital single market
The Commission will brief Parliament on Tuesday afternoon (16 September) on progress to date in unlocking the potential of the digital single market. Measures to remove obstacles to buying goods online and using e-signatures, or to ensure that internet giants do not abuse their dominant market positions, could well figure in the debate which is set to start at 16h30 approximately.
A study prepared for Parliament this year on Mapping the Cost of Non-Europe 2014-2019 suggests that the digital single market could deliver enormous efficiency gains.
