MEPs to debate Nigeria, Ukraine, Egypt and Italian marines case with Mogherini
European Parliament holds its annual debate on the main lines of the EU's foreign, security and defence policies with the EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini (pictured) at 15h today (14 January). Later this afternoon, MEPs will debate the recent atrocities in Nigeria, the crisis in Ukraine, the situation in Egypt and the case of the two Marò– Italian marines – facing trial in India.
Parliament will vote on separate resolutions on Ukraine, Libya, Egypt and the Italian marines accused of killing two Indian fishermen on Thursday. It will vote on a resolution on the atrocities in Nigeria at the February session.
