EPP #Spitzenkandidat Manfred Weber visits Poland

Manfred Weber, Spitzenkandidat of the European People's Party for the next European elections and Chairman of the EPP Group in the European Parliament, began his European tour by going to Poland on Tuesday 20 November. 

On Tuesday morning from 8h until 10h, he visited the Auschwitz-Birkenau museum. He then held meetings in Warsaw with Civic Platform (PO) leader Grzegorz Schetyna, Polish People's Party (PSL) leader Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and with the new Mayor of Warsaw, EPP Vice-President Rafał Trzaskowski.
At 16h30, he gave a press statement at the Civic Platform headquarters with Civic Platform (PO) leader Grzegorz Schetyna, PSL leader Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski. In the evening, he held an informal discussion with students, together with Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski.

The EPP is the largest and most influential European-level political party of the centre-right, which currently includes 80 member parties and partners from 42 countries, the Presidents of the European Commission, the European Council and the European Parliament, 8 EU and three non-EU heads of state and government, 13 members of the European Commission and the largest group in the European Parliament.
