Commissioner Johansson participates in virtual informal ministerial dialogue on integration of migrants and social cohesion
On 9 November, Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johansson, will participate in a virtual informal ministerial dialogue on integration and inclusion of migrants organized by the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Commissioner Johansson will deliver a keynote speech ahead of the publication of the Commission's Action Plan on Integration and Inclusion, to be adopted on 24 November 2020.
The informal ministerial meeting is an opportunity to discuss integration policies as part of broader efforts to foster social inclusion and build resilient and cohesive societies. Participants will also exchange views on the main priority areas for future integration and inclusion policies, on the role of EU funds to support national efforts on integration and inclusion and on the key role of local and regional authorities, civil society as well as employers and social and economic partners in the integration process.
