Matchmaking for #Health – Healthcitizens.org

EuropaColon has launched a new social networking opportunity for patients wishing to make contact with, and communicate with, people facing similar health challenges. www.HealthCitizen.org is available to all patients with single or multiple conditions looking to connect with people on the same or a similar journey anywhere in the world.
Registration is required and users need to set up a profile (with or without a photograph) that includes the single or multiple conditions they are diagnosed with or suffer from. Search and find is then carried out by condition or location to identify suitable people.
EuropaColon has identified a gap in the market, as research and feedback has shown that the benefits obtained from peer to peer communication is considerable. Communicating directly on a personal level with other patients will bring a new dimension to their journey.
EuropaColon is confident that Healthcitizens will give more patients the opportunity to engage in useful and rewarding conversations.
About us:
EuropaColon is a European-wide platform for digestive cancers aiming to raise awareness, support patients, and campaign for equity of access to best treatment and care. 2017 plans include working with the EU Commission on standards of care for CRC patient pathways; re-energizing screening efforts with a dedicated Task Force, composed of countries with excellent screening rates; undertaking a Europe-wide survey of the Unmet Needs of Patients with mCRC and gastric cancer. Work will also continue with our Member Groups to support their local policy and national initiatives. Currently, with 43 Member Groups in 32 countries, only a few remain outside the fold.
