#Coronavirus crisis: Commission launches #BeActiveAtHome
The European Commission has launched #BeActiveAtHome, a social media campaign to motivate people to keep fit and on the move whilst confined to their homes. It draws on the very successful #Be Active Campaign, part of the annual European Week of Sport since 2015.
Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Commissioner Mariya Gabriel said: "Sport can improve our well-being, benefiting both body and mind. In these difficult times, being active is more important than ever! Join us in the #BeActiveAtHome challenge - share your moves, tips and creative ways to stay on the move at home.”
The European Commission invites people to show what they are doing to stay fit and to share their new exercise ideas with others.
The posts should include the dedicated hashtag #BeActiveAtHome mentioning @EUSport on Twitter and @european_youth_eu on Instagram.
