Parliament will vote a resolution on press and media freedom in Turkey, following recent arrests of journalists. In their debate in December, MEPs unanimously condemned these arrests as breaches of freedom of expression.

Human rights and democracy resolutions
Parliament will hold urgent debates with Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini in the morning on the case of Alexei Navalny in Russia, the situation in Pakistan following the Peshawar school attack and a law against “homosexual propaganda” in Kyrgyzstan. Votes on resolutions will follow at around noon.
