European Commission
New Commission takes office
1 December marked an important moment for the European Union, namely the start of a new mandate for the European Commission, led for the second time by President Ursula von der Leyen.
The Commission is made up of 27 Commissioners, one for each country, who will work for the next five years on making Europe a better place for all.
